About Us

For over 40 years a point of reference for women's rights and freedom.

Identity and Commitment

Centro Donna Giustizia is a non-profit organization committed to promoting social solidarity and human dignity. Since 1981 we have been working alongside women and minors, Italian and foreign, victims of psychological, physical, sexual and economic violence.

We operate as an anti-violence center offering a safe place for listening and reception. Our services range from legal advice to psychological support, to protection and housing autonomy paths.

We fight daily to remove the obstacles that prevent the full realization of women, combating all forms of gender discrimination through cultural, educational and awareness projects in the territory.

Our History

1981

It all began in 1981, when the "Gruppo Donne e Giustizia" (Women and Justice Group) was born from the UDI of Ferrara, with the aim of providing free legal advice.

1989 / 1993

In 1989 the "Telefono Donna" (Women's Phone Line) was created and in 1993 the service expanded with psychological support. That same year, the group formally established itself as the "Centro Donna Giustizia" Association.

2009

Since 2009 we are an Association of Social Promotion (APS), continuing to evolve to respond to the new needs of women.
